Kali is the Hindu Warrior Goddess of Liberation and Rebirth. She helps close out old cycles, creating the endings necessary for new beginnings. As Durga her rampage and bloody attacks against the darkness are only assuaged and calmed by Lord Shiva. She is skilfully adept at cutting away only the dead wood for the ‘whole tree’ to flourish in any area of life. Her sword is sharp and like a scalpel, has precision and knowing – she can clear both the physical and also all other manifestations of reality. In terms of our minds she can help us cancel and de-program old mindsets, enabling us to be sharp and laser like in our thinking and processing.

Her softer side as Kali Ma is the one who will nourish and comfort you supporting you with her Divine Mother energy, when most needed. As Kali Ma she is also the lioness who will protect her own and attack if her offspring (you) are threatened. She knows when both toughness and gentleness are required and her multi-faceted complexity is what makes her energy so interesting, embracing both the light and dark.
