Reiki in the Kitchen

Not everyone who takes the reiki trainings actually want to do this for a living. Most want to develop their own intuitive healing abilities for themselves and their loved ones. I have definitely had numerous people who already practice another healing modality such as reflexology or massage therapy wish to bring an enhanced level of healing to what they already do. So, it should be no surprise to find that people not in an obvious healing field, also want to add this level of healing and love to what they do.

Let your Self-Expression Flow

It is like a slow-moving river clogged with boulders. The river is your expression, and the boulders are the barriers to your expression. If you had to remove the rocks, it would be very hard to push them out of the channel. You could spend all your time trying to get the rocks out of the channel without getting the river moving. But as soon as the river starts to flow and gains power from the desire to get back to its origin, you will find that you don’t need to do anything to the rocks, because the current takes the rocks with it. You do not need to remove the rocks if you keep the current going at all times.

Time to Take Personal Responsibility

We are incredible beings with such inner resources to interact with the world around us and our bodies do an amazing job of trying to keep up with what we put them through every day. Sometimes though, it just feels like we don’t have enough to get through whatever is going on. Many of us live in an exhausted state, with commitments pulling from every direction and a feeling that there is no time for ourselves. This is not an empowering feeling and the body will find a way to let us know that we are not in balance! Whether we experience headaches, tension aches, digestive issues, insomnia, high blood pressure, anxiety; the list is endless; it is the bodies messaging system at work.

Part 3 – Understanding Vibrational Medicine – The Chakra System

We are highly tuned beings who interact with our environment in many more subtle ways than we have typically been taught in our current societal structure. In order to experience a pure flow of health, vitality and happiness, we want to eliminate struggle in all areas of our experience. This includes our thoughts, actions and emotions! That’s our journey of life – a continuous step by step learning experience to know ourselves and what brings us joy and meaning.

What Energy Does 2013 Hold for You?

So there was part of me that didn’t want to let go of 2012, I really enjoyed the unfolding of the year and so I delayed my first blog of the New Year to now. Last week after our son returned to Calgary for his next semester at University, I finally accepted that it was time to move forward into this new beginning. I spent some thoughtful time pondering what I wanted this New Year to bring forth because I know how powerful the focus of intention is. I would like to share with you briefly the energy I feel arising for me this year.

The Intelligence of the Heart – Part 2

We are the only ones who can know what is really true inside though we are easily distracted by the discomfort we perceive we will experience. This is the reason for trusted support people in our lives to journey with us. To witness us and offer their perception and wisdom as well as to know when to just listen as we find our own answers.

10 Self Care Strategies

How do we balance the effects of stress? That’s been the focus of a majority of my clients lately so I felt it time to share some thoughts on this incredibly important subject. You see, most of us have grown up with the idea that Self Care is Selfish! We were taught to always look after others first however in any emergency situation, we are taught the opposite. When you travel by air, the safety instructions in the event that oxygen masks are needed is to put yours on first and then you can be sure you are able to assist others! So – it’s time to revisit the importance of self care and create a new plan of action so that we keep our energy fuel tank at a healthy operating level. I found a wonderful article from Elizabeth Scott, M.S. that I agree with on for 10 self care strategies.

Reiki and Religion

In these three words, I would also hear, “God takes care”, as it is not the reiki practitioner who does the healing. We provide the channel for the universal life force to come through and provide whatever healing is required for the person’s highest interest. These wise words of guidance take the responsibility for healing away from the practitioner. In fact, my focus is to get out of the way and not let my ego take a lead role in the session. So – my own inner belief is that I am supported by God to bring love through me to provide healing which can often be called energy healing. As a person experiences this energy healing, they in turn often connect to their inner guidance that always knows what is true. As such it can be difficult to describe as each person experiences the healing in a different way pending their current physical condition, their belief systems and their ability to tune into the messages of their body.
