Living Deeply

Living Deeply

I was struck by a piece of prose I read this week, and it sums up how summer has been for me.

Someone once said, “You can’t add days to your life, but you can add life to your days.”
And that one sentence shifted everything for me.
We spend so much time chasing time – trying to stretch it, beat it, control it,
But what if the real magic isn’t in more time, but in better moments?
In being present. In laughing deeply. In doing things that set your soul on fire.
Now, I focus less on counting days…
And more on making days count.
Because a full life isn’t measured by how long it lasts but by how deeply it’s lived.

Adding Life to My Days

I have been consciously taking in the best of each day and allowing a slower pace. I have enjoyed a few weeks off from regular chorus rehearsal to do other things on Wednesday nights, like celebrating my sister-in-law’s birthday. There have been more opportunities to see friends and family and spend quality time in my garden. Don’t get me wrong, it still feels like it’s flying by. However, as I reflect back on the past couple of months, there are so many memories that flood my being, and I have so much gratitude for the richness of my life.

Something New Is Coming

The time has also given life to new creative ideas that are coming alive very soon. I will be hosting a retreat at the end of October, and you will hear all about it as the details are finalized.

A Gentle Pause for August

For this month, I’m leaning into the feel of my community and realizing we all need space to play and be unplanned, so there will not be a Women’s Wellness Circle in August. We get back to our regular 4th Thursday of the month starting in September.

Wishing everyone the best of all that summer has to offer, and we’ll connect next month.
