8 Ways to Support Your Immune System

I participated on a panel of experts at the recent Annual Richmond Hill Library Health Fair with 7 other incredible practitioners. We were given the opportunity to introduce our specific health modalities and then the moderator guided us through a few questions pertinent to the season. It was a wonderful experience to realize how unified we were on our overall principals AND the different perspectives we brought to the table that served the whole spectrum of well-being. A super important focus for this time of year was being asked to give our 1 unique tip for supporting a healthy immune system. Here are 8 ways from the list of experts.

F.E.A.R. – False Evidence Appearing Real

Fear is not a bad thing; it keeps us aware of potential negative or dangerous situations. However, because they are learned, they become registered in our minds as thoughts. Thoughts are energy AND “Where thoughts go – Energy follows! Our bodies do not know the difference between thoughts that are from real and present danger or if they are assumed. This is where the acronym, False Evidence Appearing Real comes from. Most of our fears are learned and originate then from our thoughts. Our negative emotions are triggered and our bodies respond.

Taking Advantage of Fall

We have planned a day that includes a lunch at the charming Mono Cliffs Inn, followed by a hike at the Mono Cliffs Provincial Park. Not only will we experience the natural beauty of the view from these hills with the incredible cliffs and caves; it will be enhanced by the burst of colours sprinkled into the canvas. We will complete our day with a visit to Landman Gardens in Grand Valley where we’ll go on a tour of the farm, visit the on-site farm store to purchase some organic produce, preserves and baked goods and then dine at their unique Blackhouse.

Toxins in Feminine Hygiene Products

My riddle was solved when I had a conversation with another girlfriend whose daughter was experiencing the same thing and whose doctor had seen these reports and advised her to make a switch in her chosen brand of feminine care products. I was ecstatic to say the least! Of course I had been using the brand most connected to causing reactions, “Always”. I have now converted to a natural brand called

Weekend in the Woods

I understand that this exact event will not take place again however the seeds will appear for something new in the future. The ripple effect of this weekend will create new portals of expansion within all of our circles. The possibilities are limitless. We are so fortunate to have such a community of talented and caring souls to celebrate life with. You can see a list of participants still by clicking here. Here is a small collection of photos from the event.

What is the Message from the Red Tailed Hawk?

Amazed to have witnessed this, we expected the hawk to fly off to enjoy its catch. Instead, it circled around us and once again placed itself just ahead of us, hovering over just long enough to show off its prey, then it moved the mouse from its beak to its talons and flew away.

Ho’Oponopono

Ho’oponopono is a Hawaiian healing tradition that “undoes” the threads that cause disharmony in our lives. It involves using statements with a lot of historical power on their own, but, when your conscious intention is behind it, without guilt or shame or fear, it is an extremely powerful tool of change!

Organic Skin Care

Many of my clients ask me what I use for skin care and make-up as we begin to realize how many chemicals are in the favourite products that we use every day from deodorant to shampoo and this time of year; sunscreen! It’s a fabulous question and one that I continue to learn more about every day.

Food & Water First – Saving our Agricultural Lands

Food & Water First is a movement dedicated to protecting Ontario’s Class 1 farmland and source water regions. We are rural and urban citizens who understand that our province’s rare agricultural soils and water resources provide us with a great bounty that must be preserved. We encourage the Ontario government to adopt a Food & Water First policy so our vital agricultural sector and source water regions are given priority in land-use planning.
