COMING HOME RETREAT

Leave feeling replenished, more deeply connected to yourself, and ready to step into your life with greater clarity, balance and intention.

THE INVITATION

Come home to yourself

Leave feeling replenished, more deeply connected to yourself, and ready to step into your life with greater clarity, balance and intention.

How you may be feeling now

This year has been asking a lot

For many of us, this year has been asking a lot. Stretching beyond our comfort zones. Questioning old beliefs. Reconsidering what feels right for us now. Wondering where we are heading and what we truly want to carry forward.

The energy of this Fire Horse year has been fast-moving and expansive, inviting us to grow, change and step into something new. And growth doesn’t always feel comfortable.

Perhaps we are being invited to be:

  • More authentic
  • More still
  • More balanced
  • More present
  • More of who we were born to be
What awaits you

Space to soften and simply be

Held at Forest Hill Lodge, a beautiful oasis nestled in nature, we will immerse ourselves in the colours, sounds and scents of autumn. This is a place to breathe more deeply, soften, reconnect and simply be.

Come with whatever is present for you. There is nothing you need to figure out or fix. Simply come, pause, receive and reconnect.

THE SETTING

The Forest Hill Lodge

Our home for the weekend is The Forest Hill Lodge, a tranquil, family-run retreat on the shores of Lovesick Lake in the heart of the Kawarthas. One of Ontario’s oldest lakeside lodges, it carries a gentle, lived-in warmth — a fire to gather around, cozy common spaces, and a quiet sandy shoreline where the water invites you to slow right down and let nature do the rest.

We’ll be staying in the main lodge and a few of the cozy cottages nestled along the lake. Double and single accommodations available.

Your Hosts

Who will be holding the space

Karen Armstrong — Host

Founder of Inside Out, Karen has spent the last 26 years supporting clients as a Reiki Master/Teacher, Biophoton Light Therapist, Enneagram Personality coach and published author. Karen has hosted many retreats in Ontario and a monthly Women’s Wellness Circle.

More than her training, it is the way Karen holds space that people remember. She meets you exactly where you are — with warmth, and without agenda or expectation — a fellow traveller rather than an authority, quick to honour the quiet moments and small openings that others might pass by.

Her gentle, unhurried presence makes it feel safe to soften, to set down whatever you have been carrying, and to reconnect with yourself. You leave feeling truly seen and witnessed.

A Table Set with Care

We’re so delighted to welcome Lora Georgiou as our private chef for the weekend. A Registered Holistic Nutritionist and gourmet cook, Lora has a real gift for spoiling her guests with delicious, nourishing, farm-to-table and artisan food — meals made with as much care as everything else we’ll share together.

She has designed a deluxe menu just for us: Friday dinner; breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday; and breakfast on Sunday, along with snacks, tea and coffee throughout. Lora is happy to accommodate most dietary needs, including gluten-free and vegetarian — simply let us know when you book, and we’ll take care of the rest.
