This past month we have experienced some wild weather patterns in southern Ontario and it was on one of those thunderstorm days that a Red Tailed Hawk shared a message with me and my friend.
We were waffling about whether to head out for our scheduled 5pm Nordic pole walk as the skies were quite ominous however; we changed locations and decided to give it a try. Leaving from my place on a rural road, we head out for a quick walk and chat before beginning the evening supper activities. The winds were quite strong which gave a sense of anticipation. My attention was drawn above to a beautiful hawk circling above…how I love to watch the birds of prey as they are on the lookout for their next catch. As we moved along, I noticed that the hawk was now about 200 meters ahead of us and just hovering in the sky on the north side of the roadway. Read more
